The School Library Systems Association of New York (SLSA) offers these opportunities to New York State School Librarians to expand their knowledge and expand their leadership roles within the field.
eva efron Memorial AASL Conference Grant
The School Library Systems Association of New York (SLSA) and Rosen Publishing are pleased to offer this grant opportunity to a New York State Certified School Librarian employed in a School Library System member school. This grant, honoring our friend and colleague, eva efron, provides the opportunity for an emerging leader in the field to become an active member of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), to attend the AASL’s National Conference in November (of the odd year) and to begin their professional leadership journey.
Applications will be accepted through the first week of June and the recipient will be announced late in June.
This Grant is only awarded during AASL conference years.

Marcia Eggleston Empowering Leadership Scholarship
The Marcia Eggleston Empowering Leadership Scholarship is awarded to attend the New York Library Association – Section of School Librarians Carol A. Kearney Leadership Institute which is held in August. School Library System Association will sponsor this scholarship starting in August 2020.
