Regents Advisory Council on Libraries Convening: The Role of School Librarians in Remote and Hybrid Instruction
November 18, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EST
Under normal circumstances, school libraries staffed by certified school librarians are essential. In the current remote learning environment, they are indispensable. With the sudden shift to online learning and the associated needs and challenges, school librarians have adjusted their practices to continue to serve students, teachers, and families in innovative ways.
Please join the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries for a convening of the school library community on Wednesday, November 18, at 10 AM. This program will highlight some of the exemplary work that New York State school librarians, and the systems supporting them, have engaged in since COVID-19 related school closures in March.
Areas of focus will include:
- Shifts in Practice
- Digital Equity
- Family Support and Engagement
- Social and Emotional Learning
