Prime Time for Primary Sources: North Country School Library Systems Regional Conference

Get research ready with the North Country School Library Systems (NCSLS) Regional Conference: Prime Time for Primary Sources! This mini-conference will feature a keynote by Tom Bober, an elementary librarian at RM Captain Elementary in Clayton, Missouri and a former Teacher in Residence with the Library of Congress. He has written about the use of primary sources for national publications, and develops and runs workshops and webinars focusing on strategies for the students’ uses of primary sources. The luncheon speaker will be Steve Sheinkin, author of Bomb, The Notorious Benedict Arnold, and the Time Twisters series. He will share tips on the writing process, nonfiction writing exercises for the classroom, and his experiences as an author. There will also be vendor displays and book sales.

This conference is sponsored by Champlain Valley Educational Services SLS, Franklin-Essex-Hamilton SLS, Jefferson-Lewis SLS, St. Lawrence-Lewis SLS, and St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES School Improvement.
